Elaine and I worked together to sell a difficult property in Topanga. It took us over a year, but she finally found the perfect buyers to take on the project. I first met Elaine when interviewing agents for the listing, and was immediately struck by her candidness and honesty -- atypical attributes of a real estate agent. She believes in doing the right thing, always, because in the end, that's what is best for everyone involved. Working with someone so genuine, level-headed, and fair was a huge comfort to me during the challenging sale of the property (in which she ended up handling both sides of the deal, despite her normal inclination to avoid that situation). I felt that my interests were still protected, even though she was also representing the buyers. Elaine is intelligent, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with; she is incredibly knowledgeable about property, especially in Topanga, and I would trust no one else to represent me on either side of the deal. If anyone is looking to buy property in Topanga, be aware of the fact that there are many houses with unpermitted additions in that area, and unscrupulous agents might try to hide this fact; Elaine will not let someone enter into a situation without full disclosure, whether she's representing the buyer or the seller.

She gave us a lot of good advice on preparing the house for sale and what upgrades were cost-effective. Elaine was very helpful in our obtaining an easement we needed in order to sell the house and worked with the escrow company to make that happen smoothly. She participated actively in the photography and staging of the interior and exterior of the house. The photographs, internet and print ads turned out great, and the house sold quickly at a good price. We highly recommend her.

Elaine did what the others did not do, and she did it with honesty and tenacity. There was no bait and switch, luring me in with a price I would want to hear. We made an honest assessment, and she made it happen, by really pounding the pavement. She did far more than what was required, and really helped me out with a difficult sale with a good deal of issues. She was recommended by a reliable friend. My only regret?
